Following a recession-caused contraction in 2008 and 2009, the embedded motherboards market is rebounding, with double-digit growth forecast for the next five year, according to VDC Research. Mini-ITX is the most popular form factor, but Nano-ITX, Pico-ITX, and Mobile-ITX will grow rapidly too, the research firm says....

Win Enterprises announced a 2U rackmount networking appliance that supports Intel processors ranging from a dual-core Pentium on up to a quad-core Xeon. The PL-80160 supports up to 16GB of DDR3 memory, includes CompactFlash and 3.5-inch hard disk storage, offers eight to 32 gigabit Ethernet ports, and includes PCI and PCI Express expansion, the company says....

Back in July we reported that Unigine Corp, the company behind the advanced Unigine gaming/3D engine, was working on its own strategy game. This game was supposed to be announced by the end of July, then in private we were told it got pushed back to the middle of August,...

This fork includes enchantments to many of the built-in apps, Ad-hoc network connectivity, OpenVPN support, Bluetooth HID, Incognito browsing, extensive control over audio and UI elements, and more found in the extensive CHANGELOG. The CyanogenMod team uses an instance of Google's gerrit tool for code review and patch submission, helping make this former backport of Android 1.6 to T-Mobile's G1 into thriving development for the G1/MyTouch/MyTouch 1.2, Droid, Nexus One, HTC Aria, HTC Desire, HTC Evo 4G (minus 4G and HDMI output), Droid Incredible, and MyTouch Slide. HTC Hero (including Droid Eris) are coming soon for 6.0, with Samsung Galaxy S devices expected to be supported in 6.1."
